You Come From Good Cloth – Gee's Bend Heritage Greeting Card

Some words carry generations of love, strength, and history. You Come From Good Cloth is a reminder of the people, traditions, and stories that make us who we are.

Part of Sweet Martha's Family Farmacy's Gee's Bend Quilters Legacy Collection, this greeting card celebrates the beauty of our family's quilting heritage and the generations who continue to carry it forward.

History Behind the Piece

This card features Cross in Block—Nine-Block Variation (1976) by my great-grandmother, Martha Jane Pettway, whom I call Grandma.

Grandma's quilting is part of the rich textile heritage of Gee's Bend, Alabama. Her work represents a family tradition of creativity, resourcefulness, and storytelling through cloth.
