Sometimes you don’t need someone to research your entire family tree.
You need someone experienced to help you understand what you already have, what the records are telling you, and where to look next.
This one-hour genealogy consultation gives you dedicated time to discuss your family-history research, existing tree, documents, DNA-related questions, conflicting information, or a research problem that has you stuck.
Your Consultation Can Include
Reviewing your existing family tree
Discussing conflicting names, dates, locations, or relationships
Helping identify your next research steps
Reviewing census records, obituaries, vital records, family documents, or other information you already have
Discussing family stories and how they may connect to documented evidence
Helping you organize a research plan
Discussing strategies for difficult African American or Southern genealogy research
Helping you understand where additional records may be located
What You’ll Receive
One 60-minute consultation
Personalized guidance based on your research question
Recommendations for your next steps
A clearer research direction
This service is best for people who want guidance and strategy rather than having the research completed for them.
Before Your Appointment
You may be asked to provide your research question and any relevant names, dates, records, photographs, family-tree information, or documents before the consultation so our time can be used efficiently.
Please Note
A genealogy consultation does not guarantee a particular discovery or answer. Historical records may be incomplete or unavailable.
Additional research performed outside of the consultation is not included unless separately purchased.
After You Purchase
Please make sure you provide a current email address at checkout. After your purchase, I will personally email you a link to the Genealogy Research Client Intake Form. Please complete the form as thoroughly as possible so I have the information needed to begin your service.
Your research timeline begins after I receive your completed intake form and any requested supporting information.
Please complete your intake form before research begins.
Consultation clients should complete the form before their scheduled session so I can review the information ahead of time and we can make the most of our 60 minutes together.
Specializing in African American and Southern family-history research.
